Time Lapse Photography

Time Lapse photography can create some amazing footage when using a video camera is not practical to use. Most time lapse photography is captured over a period of two to six hours, but can be captured over many days, the longest we have completed was over eight days. This was for the building of a 10 x 10m brick wall featuring a mural of Oprah Winfrey.

So how can a time lapse capture benefit your golf club. For starters just like still and video photography, time lapse captures a moment in time, but instead of that moment lasting a second or five minutes. Time lapse has the ability to capture an event over a period of hours. Then by simplifying this capture down to 20 or 30 seconds it makes for not only an interesting video it also means the viewer gets to more information about how an event actually happened. This can be crucial for golf clubs that are constantly doing work on the course, and want to keep their members up to date.

Take the redevelopment of a green at your club, a time lapse capture is much more interesting to look at than a couple of photos of the event wouldn’t up agree. If you need convincing have a look at this time lapse capture of the redevelopment of the 16th green at Barwon Heads Golf Club. This only captured the first six hours of work, but it makes for an interesting video, given most members would not be aware of the type of work involvev=d.
